When it comes to buying high tech accessories for a kitchen most people tend to forget about the one thing that is the most common factor uniting all kitchens on the planet: the faucet. A good sink and kitchen faucet are essential for a productive and beautiful kitchen. It is not just about washing the dishes once you are done cooking, but it is actually more about properly washing your vegetables before you actually start cooking them. The interesting thing is that even the most modern kitchens will sometime have an old fashion faucet and, as you will see in our selection of the best kitchen faucets available on the market today, there are so much better designs available that you must have a pretty special reason to stick with the old school system. What is even more interesting is the fact that the prices actually vary a lot even in the space of the modern facet and we have some designs that are so affordable that you have no excuse not to make the switch today. We also have some designs that are probably only worth getting if you are doing a whole kitchen upgrade, in which case you absolutely must get the most gorgeous design you can afford. So make sure to scroll past the following list containing only the bare minimum details, and check out the in depth reviews we have prepared for you.
1. Rozinsanitary Pull Down Kitchen Sink Faucet
Although the Rozinsanitary Pull Down Kitchen Sink Faucet design is what we would call modern, it has been used so often on TV that we could say it is the classic modern design. So we need to start with it not only because it looks just the way you would need it to look for a modern kitchen, but also because it is one of the more affordable faucets on our list, and it certainly is worth the money. In case you have never used a pull down faucet let us warn you that your immediate reaction will be to wonder how you have managed to get things done with a regular faucet. On the one side it is an excellent tool for washing a lot of fruits at the same time because you can direct the flow of water from whatever side you need it. On the other hand the spray function is great for getting the plates ready for the washing machine without having to touch the plate with any brush or sponge. There is also the fact that the Rozinsanitary Pull Down Kitchen Sink Faucet has a double faucet head system, so you can just push the pull down end to the side and use the other spout just like you would with a regular kitchen faucet. The only downside to that is the fact that this design takes up quite a lot of space so you need a really big kitchen for it not to look out of place.
2. Delta Faucet Leland Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet
The Delta Faucet Leland Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet is by far the most beautiful faucet on our list, but, fair warning, it is also the priciest, so you really should go through the rest of the list before you decide that you must have it. However, we would certainly understand you if you decided to go with it, simply because it is the model that captured our hearts as well. The finish is in a contemporary brushed chrome and it hides a lot more than you would think. The end of the faucet actually can be detached from the spout and it can be pulled down to work much like the spray on the Rozinsanitary faucet. It can work both as a spray and as a simple aerator and it uses a more advanced Diamond Seal technology so, despite the fact that it has so many moving parts, it will maintain a perfect seal for many years without the need for any maintenance. The other great thing about the Delta Faucet Leland Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet is the fact that it comes with a 3 holes plate adapter so you can fix it to any type of sink you might have.
3. Kraus Single Lever Pull-Out Kitchen Faucet
If you like the features of the Delta faucet but can’t get your mind around the price, your best alternative is the Kraus Single Lever Pull-Out Kitchen Faucet. It is a stainless steel faucet with a pull out nose just like Delta. It too can be switched from a simple aerator function to a spray function but here lies the biggest difference between the 2. The Kraus simply does not generate as much pressure from their spray function as the Delta, so you may need to use a brush to clean away some of the dirtier dishes. The hose itself is self retracting and we found that it sometimes gets tangled up so you have to pull up on it before it can be set properly back in its place. Still, the quality level of the workmanship is undeniable, and we were quite pleased with the look it gives the kitchen.
4. Premier Waterfront Kitchen Faucet
If you are really working on a tight budget, but would still like the benefits of a modern faucet system, your best choice is the Premier Waterfront Kitchen Faucet. As far as the actual design feature of the faucet is concerned we are not overly impressed: it tends to look a little bit like a shower facet rather than a kitchen one. However, in terms of what you can actually do with it, it is an excellent kitchen faucet because it allows you the full range of movements you would need to perfectly wash every dish, fruit and vegetable. What is even more important is the fact that you end up paying a lot less for this faucet than for any other one.
5. Premier Sonoma Pull-Out Kitchen Faucet
The guys from Premier also have a more expensive kitchen faucet that we truly believe deserves to be up there with the Delta and the Kraus. The design is gorgeous and the brushed metal look will fit any modern kitchen whether you are using a stainless steel or a marble kitchen sink. The inside uses ceramic technology which means the faucet will work flawlessly for many years. It too comes with an adaptive plate so you can set it up on kitchen sinks with either 1 or 3 holes.
6. Premier Faucet Waterfront Kitchen Pull-Out Faucet
We are going to feature just one more Premier kitchen faucet on our list simply because we believe it is one of the best answers for those looking to get the best results for every dollar that they put into their kitchen. That is to say the Premier Faucet Waterfront Kitchen Pull-Out Faucet is an excellent for those working on a budget but who are willing to splash a little extra cash on a faucet that really deserves it. The faucet comes with a chrome finish so it really goes just with stainless steel sinks, but the head can be pulled out so you will easily wash anything from vegetables like kale to dirty plates once the meal is over.
7. Kohler K-560-VS Bellera Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet
The Kohler K-560-VS Bellera Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet is a modern interpretation on a really antique faucet design and as such it costs quite a bit of money, but for the right person it will be an essential acquisition. As such we decided to feature it on our list because we do love the design, we love the fact that the head is still pull down, although at a glance you would not think that there is so much technology hidden in there. It can be switched from spray to regular use with ease and it can rotate to 360 degrees, making it the perfect tool even for the most modern kitchen.
8. Peerless Classic Single Handle Kitchen Faucet
We left the Peerless Classic Single Handle Kitchen Faucet as one of the last entries on our list of the best kitchen faucets on the market today because it looks like a cross over from a bathroom faucet to a kitchen one. Still, we do appreciate the fact that it is a relatively affordable faucet and the inside components are actually of the highest caliber. So, if you are looking for a classic kitchen faucet, this might be the best choice you can make.
9. Rozinsanitary Brushed Nickel Pull Down Kitchen Sink Faucet
We left the Rozinsanitary Brushed Nickel Pull Down Kitchen Sink Faucet for the last part of the list because it is essentially the same faucet as the first Rozinsanitary one we have talked about. As such, it is one of the best choices you could make both in terms of price and of quality. The difference is that with this version you pay a little bit extra but you get a brushed nickel finish which gives it a more antique look. In this interpretation you can actually use it with a marble sink and it will not look out of place.
10. Decor Star Pull Down Spray Kitchen Sink Faucet
The Decor Star Pull Down Spray Kitchen Sink Faucet is the last product we are going to focus today and we decided to include it here because it rounds up nicely all that is great about modern faucets. It is a high faucet, excellent for washing big pots. The nozzle can be detached so you get a much broader range of movements, and you can switch to a spray function so you get a lot more pressure for the cleaning stage. Finally, it is an affordable kitchen faucet although, in all honesty, you will have to pay a little bit extra for it, than you would for a regular faucet.
